Read these terms before downloading or using Word On Tap. For the version distributed through the App Store, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), linked below, applies. These product and support terms supplement that license.
Service and purchases
Word On Tap offers English words, Chinese meanings, pronunciation and Home Screen widgets. The App Store version uses a one-time purchase model with no subscriptions or in-app purchases. The price displayed at purchase applies. App Store purchases, redownloads and refunds follow Apple’s rules and applicable local law. For App Store purchase assistance or refund requests, use Apple’s Report a Problem page linked below.
An Android version of Word On Tap is planned. Download links will be published on this website when available. Please refer to the relevant download page for each version’s availability and supported devices.
Permitted use and content rights
Use the app in accordance with applicable law and licenses. Do not infringe others’ rights or unlawfully distribute the app or its materials. Design, code and branding belong to their respective rights holders. Third-party dictionaries, open-source components and system resources remain subject to their own licenses; these terms do not limit rights granted by those licenses.
Content and compatibility
Words and phonetic notation are sourced from ECDICT. If you find an entry that needs a correction, contact support@shelterfuture.com with the word and your suggestion.
Available features and widget appearance may vary by device and version. Refer to the relevant download page for compatibility information. Website display languages do not change the English word list or Chinese definitions in Word On Tap.
Updates, responsibility and contact
Your purchase includes subsequent updates made available for this app, without an additional subscription fee. Updates may change features or minimum system requirements; future features are available only when released. We will reasonably maintain the app and handle feedback, but cannot guarantee error-free operation or compatibility with every device or future system. This does not affect statutory rights relating to quality, refunds or other consumer protections that cannot be excluded.
