01How do I add a Word On Tap Home Screen widget?+
To add a Word On Tap widget on a supported device, open Word On Tap once, then touch and hold an empty area of the Home Screen. Open the widget picker, search for Word On Tap or 词音, and choose an available widget size. Menu names and widget options vary by device and version.
02Why can’t I hear pronunciation in Word On Tap?+
If Word On Tap is silent, check the media volume and headphone or Bluetooth output, then try playing a word inside Word On Tap. Connect to the internet during initial setup so required resources can finish downloading. If Word On Tap still has no sound, email support@shelterfuture.com with the device and operating system details.
03Does Word On Tap need internet access, an account or a subscription?+
Word On Tap does not require an account or subscription. Word On Tap includes the word list and supports offline lookup and pronunciation after the required resources are ready. Downloading or updating Word On Tap, initial resource downloads, the Word On Tap website and support email require internet access.
04How do I get a refund or purchase help for Word On Tap?+
For Word On Tap purchases made through the App Store, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple Account used for the purchase. Apple handles App Store refund requests under its policies and applicable law; the Word On Tap team cannot issue those refunds directly. 05Which languages does Word On Tap teach?+
Word On Tap provides English words with Chinese definitions and British or American English pronunciation. The Word On Tap website supports 21 display locales for product information and support. Changing the Word On Tap website language does not change the learning language or word list.
06Is Word On Tap available for Android?+
An Android version of Word On Tap is planned. The Word On Tap Android download link is not available yet; the Android entry on the Word On Tap website will link to the download when ready.
07How does the Word On Tap website choose its display language?+
The Word On Tap home entry page uses the language saved in the current browser first, then the system language, and finally US English. A direct Word On Tap language URL keeps its specified language. Choosing a language from the Word On Tap header menu saves the preference on the current device.
